Commando Oil Tank Banjo Thread Size

Anyone out there know the fitting size of the threaded banjo bolt for a Commando Oil tank? I put a caliper on one and it looks to be just under 1" in diameter (measured on the OD of the threads), with 20tpi. Certainly an odd sized indeed. If I can get the actual thread size I hope to be able to source a different fitting necessary for a race bike I'm building.

According to our old Pommie fitter & turner here, its British Cycle Thread, 1" 20 TPI.
