Currently rebuilding my mk3 . On close inspection the tank looks to be in a bad state and is leaking! Has anyone got a tank to sell. I’m in the U.K. thanks.

My steel Interstate tank is not perfect, but a good "10 footer." FB sidecovers with it are really nice though. Seat is "ok." I would sell as a set for $1100 US ... plus whatever ship cost to you. Cheers, Pat

Both 850 type side covers are fiberglass. Paint is really nice on them (IMO) Paint is nice on tank too (IMO), but imperfectons show when your close and looking at in the sun; but I can't get them to show up in any pictures. I had them sold to a fellow forum member, but on "close in person" visual inspection --- he then decided to pass.

I put the bike together with parts obtained from here and there, over the past several years. It is not numbers matching, anywhere. Of the six bikes I currently have running, three I put together from ... you guessed it --- parts obtained from here and there, over the past several years. Kind of what I've liked to do the past 30 years. For a while I was on a "crusade" to fix all the broken down, unloved, forgotten, and abandoned bikes I found; and get them running again. Even saved a 1975 complete Honda CB750-4, but with the engine locked up ... from a dumpster!

Anyway, to finally answer your question ... I don't know.

An honest answer is always the best answer. Thank you rescuing all of those bikes!

That looks a good bit better than the one that was on my MkIII.

If it is packed well, it should ship just fine with DHL.

Wouldn't 850 side covers be steel? Fiberglass went away in 72.
My 74 MK2a came with Glass Fibre side covers, the 72 deadline was only for petrol tanks, even Glass Fibre cars are still being built today but the petrol tank etc will be in another material.

Bad experience with DHL.... Would never use again..
Don't get me started with a rant on DHL or that other bunch of wankers UK post... which DHL now own
Especially with parts ordered from HNW who used DHL Deutsche post that they managed to loose....its about 150 MLS as the crow flies door to door...I could have walked over to holland and back several times in the 20 days it eventually took to arrive:mad:
Nor would I use them by choice...

Bottom line was the POS driver thought he'd help himself to my parcel. When 'found out', the excuse for delivering to a different address (to satisfy the tracking app) was: 'We couldn't find your house'.. In spite of sat nav technology and my phone number printed on the address label. Days later it was left with a neighbour as they didn't have the nuts to knock on my door..

Sorry to hear about DHL flaking out. They used to do well for me years ago. I missed them when they stopped shipping domestically here, that's when I moved over to FedEx, but NOT for international!
