yes, the carbs have 930 stamped on.. but perhaps they may not be original..
as far as I know, the bike is dated 1973, I don't know if February or march..
I cannot see any stamp on the head: where should I look into exactly?

The RH number is usually stamped near the R/H exhaust valve inspection cover if it's there, however, as the carbs are 930 and I suspect the manfolds could also be the early tapered 30-28.5mm type then it could be a 28.5mm inlet port cylinder head?

sorry: I checked out the the carbs are 932.. what does it mean?

Lorenzo, just because it isn't or wasn't originally spec'ed as a Combat, doesn't mean you can't make it so.

.. actually I am not looking to have it as a combat..

I "think" Norton went to 32mm carbs on all 73/220000 on. Or they kept the 32mm ports (RH5?) and added the 30 to 32mm adpt. manifolds. Not sure. However, I believe it was optional with 73 750's.
Maybe not a Combat but possibly quite unique in it's own right. Seems desirable to me. Best of both worlds.

32mm carbs were standard from 211110 for both RH5 and RH6 heads. Prior to that, the Combats had 32mm carbs and standard models had 30mm, however a 30mm 'Low Compression' RH1 head and 30mm carbs and manifolds were also listed in the '73 parts book.

Hi Lorenz,

220xxx is '73 model year 750 as L.A.B. mentioned. This is not a combat. There were two heads that year:
RH5 8.9:1 compression
RH6 9.3:1 compression
Above codes are stamped just above the left exhaust rocker cover.
Both came with 32mm Amal carbs, so you may have none original carbs and also possibly a non original head.
By the way '73 cylinders were painted silver, notice your's is painted black (commonly done).
Previous Commando to my current '72 combat was a '73 high compression 750 with RH6 head 220627 built Dec '72.
