The World Health Organisation is saying we need 'collective solidarity' to beat Covid 19. Collectivism is the most fundamental of Australian values. It probably originated amongst the convicts in the prison hulks on the Thames River in London during the 18th century. Neoliberal individualism might be good for the economy, however not so good as a survival strategy.

Next week it will be NEOGLOBAL potatoe farming... or NEOLIBERAL mouse trap building... Give it a week or two and there will be a new NEO-something or other that we all need to be lectured on....

As far as I'm concerned, I wish NEO would have taken the blue pill... so I wouldn't have to read this crap over and over... Please stop!

Collectivism, Individualism and Covid 19

I would be interested to know the percentage of people who have tested positive for Covid 19 and did NOT have elevated temperature. I have been to a few places where optical thermometers are being used as a screening test for Covid 19. It has been claimed that some people who have tested positive for Covid 19 have been asymptomatic. If we presume that a temperature check was done concurrenty with the Covid 19 test, we should know with some level of certainty whether the temperature checks are effective in minimising the risk. - https://www.idwarehouse.com.au/infr...MIq6iRsv7G6gIVlyQrCh3YOAg7EAQYAiABEgKfxvD_BwE

If you look at the facts, it is not.
The argument is that it takes an individual to create and lead a profitable business which employs other people. Hayek's 'Constitution Of Liberty' is an interesting read. It justifies all sorts of cynicism. I like Ayn Rand too. Bullshit baffles brains.
