Fall is upon us and temperatures are falling. I'm not willing to ride when its 40F, but 55-60 is where the 850 pulls strong. I have the jacket, gloves and helmet but jeans are not adequate for my legs. Wondering what others here prefer - long johns, ski pants, heated liners? I do have some "chaps" but they're a royal pain to deal with limited mobility (arther ritus).

Ah-55-60F...summer!
Being of slight build (skinny) I feel the cold and worse every year due to Old Age. So I ride until the November rains arrive and head out ensconced in my IDF cold weather suit. The Michelin Man looks thinner than me with that on! But it is WARM and if that isn't enough I wear a padded boiler suit inside that along with the usual leather jacket and armoured jeans.
I know, it sounds ridiculous but if you are cold you aren't having fun and worse you lose attentiveness.
Still looking for the Final Answer to gloves...

For cold weather (4C) I mostly use Klim all-weather ride suit with hi-tech under clothes and electric vest , nothing bothers me …for short fashionable rides , same under clothes and vest , but full leather pants and jacket … have never understood suitability of chaps on bikes , I like all of what is left of my arse
