Hi All , which is the best route for the clutch cable?, is it from handlebar lever across the front of the steering head, down the timing side of the frame spine, through the hole at the rear of the main spine where the loom goes through, then down? Thanks

The INOA pic posted above by Steve is how I do it. So long as you’re careful when fitting the tank, no cable ties are needed, just ensure the cable is sitting above the front tank support and is not trapped as you lower the tank. With the tank in place, the cable can’t go anywhere, but is free to flex giving a nice lever action.
A loose cable tie, as suggested by Steve, may help tank with tank fitting if needed. But I believe the most important thing to remember with clutch cable routing (on virtually any bike) is to totally avoid the use of tight cable ties anywhere on the cable.

That is the clutch cable routing documented in the INOA tech digest. As a contributing editor, I happen to be the guy who submitted the drawing. While I do note the factory routing and the cable was installed in the factory way on my 5 mile never registered MKIII, I would NEVER run a bike like that.

I can personally vouch for this routing: I just installed a new Venhill cable on my bike a few weeks ago, and it was like the cable wanted to follow this path. A bit of Fluid Film for lube, and instant 1.5 finger clutch.

Yes.
Disclaimer: this is where my Venhill was most happy, the bends being gentle, the entry into the gearbox at the best angle. Some cables of different lengths may not be able to be routed this way.
