Chainguard Extension

Howdy,
My 850 is having it's winter maintanence and I brought a chainguard extension p/n 06-4822.
I am ready to fit it and from what I can read it is held on by a spring with buttons attached to each end.

Sounds a bit lightweight...is this correct or is there a better way to fit?

That's how it works. Those buttons go into the pre-drilled holes near the end of the chainguard. Yours has the holes, right? Never had a problem with mine staying in.

Thanks for that.

I have got the mounting dimensions for the hole from the Tech Digest.

I will drill out the holes and mount the chainguard as per the intructions.
