Does anyone know if a chainguard from another bike/brand is compatible and/or can be slightly modified to fit a 961 Sport?
Mine came without one and I’ve been unable to locate a replacement. THOR indicated they might have a couple, but have been unresponsive to emails…

I may be wrong, but I don't think any other bike would be an exact match. I'm sure you could adapt something to fit though. Alternatively drop Ollie Thiel a line (info@thiel-motorsport.de)

If you get stuck I can whip mine off and send you the dimensions and pictures.

I know this is not an immediate solution. But you can get on the parts waiting list with Norton and hopefully they can get you one in CF ?
 
One issue trying to adapt one from another bike is the fact that the chain is on the right. That seems to be pretty unusual from what I can see.

HD Sportser (-2020) and BMW F650/800 (1993-2018) springs to mind.

Hi Hooligan,

I’ll have to locate it, but you are welcome to my original metal chain guard from my Cafe Racer. It cracked as many did, but is easily repaired. Just cost you the postage Aus - USA. Can’t have detritus being thrown all over that beautiful machine!
