Cam follower locking wire guage?

Hi Guys,

Anyone know what guage the locking wire should be for the cam followers?

I don't think it is critical, if you use quality stainless lock wire. I have observed that the original wire used was fairly soft.

I've got some of the S-steel lock wire, so that should be ok then.

Hello Hegel,

I have used this wire on about 5 engine rebuilds with no problems whatsoever. Do route the wire through the holes such that it is pulling in the right direction to keep the screws tight.
