Hi all,

Has anyone bought Bosch parts (ignition coil, sensors etc) from Autosparks in the UK? They look genuine & claim to be an authorised Bosch dealer who source all their stock directly from the manufacturer. Even so, it would give me more confidence buying from them if others on here have had a good experience with them.

Thanks...

Error Code or Part number ?

Part Number Bosch Cam or Speed Sensor 0232103037
Part Number Bosch Head Temp Sensor 0280130026

I used Andrew Page. I contacted Bosch and they were helpful in confirming who they supply to.

If you have machinery made in China you can get 3 prices if you ask for them.

1. Made with Bosch 'made in Germany' parts.

2. Made with Bosch 'made in China' parts.

3. Made with Chinese brand made in China parts (which may come from the same factory as 2 but lower quality)

A lot of German brands have their parts made in both Germany and China, as long as they made to the same standards and materials its not an issue but there are risks as non Chinese owners are limited to 49% ownership and must partner with a Chinese company who own the 51%.

I suspect there is a lot of Bosch parts semi or fully counterfeit knocking around and buying from a Bosch approved source is the only way to ensure the correct quality.

But, when dealing with China, often the problem is you pay for number 1. and get number bloody 3. !!

I am going to try the new JUMO head temp sensor . I am ordering from Norton.

Bosch head Temp has been superseded with JUMO type in a Norton revision.

Part number 6500301_R1

To note, the BOSCH unit is rated to max 130'c and lives beyond that, only relevant in the cold start mechanism from what I have discovered, JUMO unit is -50'c to 270'c so better suited for the job.

I ordered my parts (coil, temp sensor & speed sensor) from my local branch of GSF Car Parts. They were recommended to me by Bosch as a source of genuine parts... :)

Fitted the new JUMO sensor, works a treat, have to investigate my OBDII App as the temp stayed low initially but the Idle control worked.

I noticed that if i disconnected the Temp sensor the engine revved up to 2k and was all over the show..... just wondering if some of the issues people had with the random 2k revving engines and unstable-ness was just dicky temp sensors ??? my OEM part electrical connector literally spun around, guess cheap Chinese part.

Any way the idle is sweet, runs great, I think there's a lot or merit in swapping this sensor out.

Good to hear Bluey, mine arrived this week so had better get it fitted.

Speaking of sensors, would the lack if temp. conductive past on the temp sensor make that much of a difference in performance? Bilke intermittently idles at 800 with occasional stall, 1600 to 1800 when hot. Sometimes flawless. Flawless when first installed the Bosch unit last year.

The paste ensures a good thermal bond/contact with the engine . Would you be willing to try the new JUMO temp sensor ? They are 56 pounds from Norton + shipping.

I'd be willing. Maybe even looking up a supplier. Theres also a California based company that makes a replacement for the Bosch that had gotten
a good review from AutohausAZ. The name is escaping me right now but you can look it up

If it is of any interest the pic below shows a selection of head temp sensors,
- top original factory fitment (2014),
- middle Bosch and
- bottom the new factory Jumo - now fitted.

I have a day ride planned for Saturday so will be interesting to see if there is any noticeable difference.
