Blanking plate for timing cover

The original banking plate as fitted to the Mercury was not round, and was taperd on the top and bottom sides. I've looked for one to buy with no luck.

Andover's replacement part is different.
Anyone know if there were two versions from the factory?

Andover's replacment is flat. But the original on the Mercury is slightly concave. I hope to find an original style.
