Best places to ride

How is PA not part of this? I know our roads are shit, but some amazing rides in the right places.

Florida Tourism fund this? California not in the top 10? Kansas???
The survey had to be limited to Harley riders that get endless joy from riding slowly on straight roads through quiet neighborhoods saving lives with loud pipes. In that case South Florida is perfect. :?

For me it's hard to beat Nor Cal but the Blue Ridge Mtns. as well as the Smokies also beat anything Florida has.

They didn't ask the right question. Their summation answered the question, What's the best state to live in if you ride a bike? The more pertinent question for anyone who rides would be, What state has the best riding experiences available? For me, it's Alaska, including the transit through British Columbia. Oregon has some of the best laid out and maintained roads I've ever seen but for the total package, it's north of the border. May or September.

Let's face it, we have been Blessed with a great Country to ride Motorcycles in. As the song goes, "from sea to shining sea".

Being SoCal born and bred, California's young mountains, coastal and inland, provide incomparable three dimensional canvas for road builders. Some of their works are inspired.

Oklahoma's on the list, so that rocks, but if you ask me, any place where my tires will grip and the weather is fitting will work for me.

Not in the US, but the best 2 places down south has to New Zealand's south island and Tasmania.
Both are worthy of shipping a bike to and spending some time. (both have very good people too)

If I win the Powerball tonite I'll be able to buy one of those islands.

Somewhere there is no Gravel nor traffic lights or cops nor free range animals...

Ugh - too many dang free ranging Penguins to trip ya up on the ice and snow. For motorcycles that like to grunt tighter turns its hard to beat any place with "gap" or "pass" in its name.

Here's one through ten best places in the world to ride review... most of us missing out on...

Ten rather good US tour routes...

Then there's some of us that a bit of Gravel, mud and streams are part of out dream rides even if surface and animals are wild and free. This one passes through my stomping grounds

I must admit having ridden first half of life on british roads, southern california roads are crappy. I cant wait for it to cool down so I can go over the mountains to decent roads. Otherwise way too many people with way too many vehicles here in OC as well as too many Harleys in the way.

Ugh, ain't no prefect place to ride on Earth just the constant hunt for the best there is now and then.
