Best Modern Twin . ?

I liked this modern twin. Bought it new and made a few changes. It was not boring. When I owned it, it was comfortable enough for its intended use. Today I doubt I'd swing a leg over one.

Now don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story :) His way with the hacksaw is mind blowing really, you have to be extremely talented to “see” the finished article when it’s still a normal factory machine. He deserves far more than simply a YouTube channel and the occasional appearances on TV with Henry Cole.
Yes he has a lathe a mill a welder
But he makes his own silencers and dosent have a roller
He makes his own fuel tanks with basic hand tools
He makes no drawings of anything he just makes it ! And all in a standard one car garage
If you watch his interview you will see he has very few spanners, hand tools
It's amazing what he can produce IMO

What’s that ?

An artists impression iirc (2017) based off the first generation Africa Twin that I would have bought for sure.
Put some pannier racks on it and a small low blade wind screen (wind breaker) and ride.

Still more than happy @ $18500 ride away. (then some add on's)

DCT.
Traction control 1/2/3.
Drive / Sport mode 1/2/3 - Manual.
Gravel mode.
ABS.

The main problem (or one of them) is the anodising can wear through on the inside of the forks and if not redone early enough can mean new parts ($$$$)
Spokes were rusting on UK models on the showroom floor.
The recall here was replacing them with the same spokes (which rusted again in places like the UK until SS was used)

I cant say for the newer models.

If you're talking parallel twins, the Yam -07 is it. If V-twins are included, no contest.

The best modern twin is whatever makes one happy. For example, I have a friend that has 80+ motorcycles, mostly vintage British bikes, but a number of modern, high tech bikes as well. He's a very good rider, with thousands of miles under his belt, on and off road. He considers the best modern twin the Royal Enfield 650. He loves his, and it has become his go-to road bike.

For me personally, it's the Triumph Thruxton R and RS. I love riding my Thruxton R.
