After one of my 6v coils packed up on my commando running Lucas Rita, what would be the best new coils to buy? The new Lucas ones? Or is there something better out there? Cheers

I bought PVL and had no issues, bit wary of the New Lucas with Wassell being the owner and paying Lucas a royalty, considering some of the rubbish they have made in the past.

Yes I know what you mean I don't really trust the new Lucas stuff, although I can't complain about my original coils they could well be 45yrs old!! , Those trispark ones look good !!! Cheers LAB

I've had Tri spark coils on a couple of triples for a few years now with no problems. Just be aware that the Lucar ?
connectors are very slightly smaller (or were) than the Lucas ones, so make sure the connection is tight.

Hello Baz
I have had good experiences with PVL.
One of the old original Lucas coils on my 72 Roadster was faulty the other good.
I tried modern Lucas coils as a pair which gave poor sparks.
Switched to PVL pair and all good.
I also measured primary and secondary resistances of the working old Lucas coil and these were a close match to the PVL coils.
The modern Lucas were very different.
I've no experience of Trispark coils.
