Its on again at Sydney Motorsport Park (Eastern Creek Raceway) NSW from March 21st to 23rd. Huge turn out of racers, events and displays. Much classic stuff, sort of an alternative to the Phillip Island International event in February.
I'm going up on the Commando, Wednesday 19th from Melbourne via the east coast for a bit of tour. Drop us a line if you're interested to ride along.

Pity the Island Classic and the Barry Sheene F.O.S were not three weeks apart. Then the international riders would be able to have a nice holiday with a race meeting at both ends, And if Winton, Broadford or Wakefield Park, Goulburn got smart, it could even be three or four meetings. -Somebody should write to Motorcycling Australia - it won't be me. - A trip from Phillip Island to Sydney ?

Only a few of the rice burners had tragic flying lessons , one a bit drastic as expected of Z1s . And there was a 9.000 rpm ES2 .

Just back from an an enjoyabe weekend over the ditch.
The ES2 was incredible, beat a Trident in one race, qaalified for the top 40 race and finished 17th (if i didnt lose count) beating a number of 4 cylinder machines.
Cam Donald on the McIntosh Suzuki vs the TRex Honda (?) was good viewing, Cam seemed to find another gear in the top 40 race.

It was a bloody great weekend. Rode my 850 Commando up from Melbourne on the Pacific coast road, into the Highlands and onto Sydney where we had two Triumph T150 race bikes, one from West Aus, and the other from NZ. We picked up 4 trophies, a 1st, two 2nds and a 3rd.
The Pacific Coast of southern NSW is brilliant, great roads, great scenery and cops everywhere! Coming back on the Monday, there was a horrendous rain storm, this shite went on for 300Kms but I had to get back to Melbourne so broke the trip into 600Kms legs and covered 2,400Kms all up. Must get a Interstate tank, but 200kms for fuel ups does give my old arse a bit of relief. Will take the Commando over to NZ next year, some good race meets from February onwards.
