Made a trip yesterday with friends to Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, AL USA yesterday. For those unfamiliar with Barber, the museum houses the world's largest motorcycle collection, as well as the world's largest collection of Lotus race cars. In addition, the park is home to a 2.38 mile (16 turn) road course. I've visited the museum 4-5 times and run 15-20 motorcycle track days, I hadn't seen the new wing in the museum, and one of the guys in our group yesterday from Italy, had never visited Barber. I'm sure I didn't photograph every Norton on display (Barber keep about 900 of their 1600+ bikes on display constantly), but here are a few along with museum pics and a couple of the track. I probably took more pics of Italian bikes (particularly MV Agusta), but I'll spare you those pics.

what was the 'social distancing'/mask requirement if any where are nearby motel/eateries?

Barber are under a mask ordinance so we wore masks in the museum, and they took our temperature with forehead scanner upon entrance. Earlier in the day, we visited the Mustang Museum of America in Birmingham which did not enforce wearing masks. There's a Hampton Inn across the street from the entrance to Barber, and several hotel options about 10 miles down a nice twisty road in the Colannade area, which has good restaurant options. Yesterday, we ate at Dreamland BBQ in the 5-points/Downtown area (about 11 miles from Barber) as we had some with us who hadn't had Dreamland's famous ribs and banana pudding previously.

Next time make it for the Vintage Festival to get the maximum overload!
Yes, I've been to it - awesome time! We started going to Barber (I live about 200 miles away) in mid-2000's to watch AMA Superbike races and do track days. Between watching racing and doing track days, we visit Barber a couple of times each year.

Please tell me you have photos from the Mustang museum! I went to the one in Charlotte earlier this year. I was at Barber last October for the Vintage Festival and I'm glad I didn't know there was a Mustang museum or I would have made my compatriots go. :D

Well ... as a matter of fact. (Hopefully I won't get banned by Access Norton for posting these :)). The Mustang Museum of America is about 2-3 years old, and located about 25 minutes drive north of Barber. I would estimate they have about 100 Mustangs, including 30+ SSP vehicles, which were sold to law enforcement agencies. Among their SSP's are one that was used by the Air Force, one by the US Postal Service, and one from (if I remember correctly) 31 of the 32 states' police agencies.
