Wow! I probably weighted that when I was 8! I was 6'1", 230 lb when 16. Too embarrassing to say now.in cold wx. My weight, full kit, is 130 pounds (includes tools ) :-O

I did that for quite a while too until I looked it up for Avon. That's because that's what the various old Dunlops wanted and what the workshop manual (065146) says.230 pounds and 26 psi? These are Avons?
Maybe the pressure isnt as important as we thought.
They certainly are .. I have been using Avon tires for at least 10 years and find them to be far superior to the TT100 . I put a new set on in March this year. Never considered any other tire . Both F & R are 100 / 90 19230 pounds and 26 psi? These are Avons?

Why 26 psi? Did you arrive at that through experimentation? What was it about running at that which made you settle at that? They certainly are .. To be quite honest , more good luck . For years i used the TT 100 and as much as i disliked them, i am a creature of habit . In 2008 i won a set of Avon's at the INOA rally , Pennsylvania USA . Next tire change i installed the Avons , filled to 26 psi as i have always run and went riding . The bike rode smoother , handled far better and kept its profile through much of its life unlike the TT 100 which would wear more in the center giving that uncomfortable feeling of falling over the edge as you leaned into a corner at speed .Why 26 psi?
