I am sorry to hear about madass selling his stock. They were excellent quality being solid brass, and very reasonably priced.

I had my originals rechromed. The original pot metal is very porous and gives a plater fits. My rechrome job cost $300 US. If I wasn't stuck on originality, the madass badges would be the way to go, at the madass price. At $440 CA, it would be a delema whether to rechrome an original set or pop for the new higher price.

Hope your friend can find a good pair somewhere.

Thanks Guys for the help in finding the Badges

They should be in the mail today and hopefully here by next week.. My painter will be happy to get them. He's Pin pulling all the ripples and small dents out of tank now..
I'm excited to get my Atlas finished up and on the road :)

Here is the ad: https://sarasota.craigslist.org/mpo/d/bradenton-norton-slimline-tank-badges/7265231481.html
I use searchtempest.com to look for parts. This is the link I use: https://www.searchtempest.com/searc...=53538&maxDist=2000&Region=combined#gsc.tab=0
It is set for Wisconsin, If you set up your own parameters, it will work better for you.
I used to post on britbike.com, but my internet service has gotten so slow it's too frustrating.
I would have a list of ten British makes and each make would open up 27 sites. Now I have trouble manually open single sites.
When the internet was faster I could open the 27 sites at once and run down the line open and close in a minute if nothing new was posted.
So Norton parts is the only one I bother with now.

I hope this helps with your searches. Frank Coleman

why would your painter be happy to get them? Aren't they installed after he has competed his work?
I re-chromed a pair of original badges I had a few years back. They turned out perfect. Don's are perfect also.

Lazyeye6- my tank is pretty solid but the sides are a bit distorted from the minor dents.
the bandages will help him with the lines and contour of the tank.
