Atlas battery and oil tank platform

Hi
Could someone tell me how the battery box and oil tank platform for an Atlas is supposed to interface with the engine plates? Should the welded on tabs on the bottom of the platform straddle the plates on the outside or one to the outside and the other side to the inside.Thanks

Both tabs ouside the gearbox plates and hold by two screws/bolts , oil tank bolted on same for the battery box through the "oblong" holes .

A few months ago I had a problem fitting a dominator oil tank. I ended up spacing it outwards about 1/2" and it was completely unnoticeable. I believe the problem was fitting an air cleaner on a single mikuni. I needed a little bit more room on the right side.
