At the Norton Factory...

Well, former Norton factory.

This is the complex that Norton America was at towards the end.

As soon as I got off the bike a guy pulls up to ask about the bike. He said he use to have a 75 but gave it up because he was getting too old. He was only 62.

? My father died at 62 from a heart attack. I inherited bad genes from both my parents with heart issues, but the drugs these days keep us going. Thanks to that. I'm going to push this bike into the grave if I have my way.

Dave will be 69 in Nov.

Unless it pushes you into the grave first!

Take care.

Many a time I have been riding the perfect ride on the perfect day and said to myself. "If this is my day, I guess I'm ok." Quite frankly, it is rare that I don't feel that special connection between man and machine when out on RedHot. But I love my wife too much to leave right now, as if I had a choice.

re: "if you're lucky enough to be riding, then you're lucky enough."

That my friend is called inspiration. As a matter of fact, your entire post is inspiring.

From the former Norton factory to a chick's nice ass in five posts! Both are worthy of discussion.

Keep running and it's a great story!

I'd been by the Norton shop a couple of times, once to see a Laverda Triple. Pretty neat.

I'm not going to top goo by any means, but I do walk up a 200' hill in about a hundred yards every day I can, at least 3 times one right after the other. Gets my heart rate up as much as it will go given the medication I take. When it's too humid I use the exercise bike. I always hated running, mostly because everyone beat me and my knees hurt from running.

Go for it goo, gotta love it.

most important thing is just getting your pulse rate up a bit for 20 minutes or so 3-4 times a week. a brisk walk will do this.
