I’ve had these kicking around for a bit, I was going to use them on a pair of long roadholders but as you can see they don’t have the swaged recess at the bottom to fit into the top shrouds. Are they from a Commando ? There are a few similar on the net but I can’t get any def info about what they are from. Thanks Dan

I can't see the photo (yet). Edit: Ok, can I see it now.

Although the early Commando forks had rubber gaiters, according to the part numbers the brackets were the same as late Featherbed/Roadholders so would look like the example, below (either black or chrome).

That’s what I thought but there are ones like mine on eBay, so either they fit something or there’s a batch of duff remanufactured ones out there!

Some examples

True, but the question still remains whether they were ever fitted to a Norton. One of those eBay sellers looks like it has been fitted before, but I can’t be sure it doesn’t have the recesses.

The "ears" are typical pattern stuff. At the bottom the end should gio inwards to fit into the lip of the cover tube that attaches to the lower fork yoke. These Indian copies are good-for-nothing ones that will fit no known motorcycle, and most certainly not a Norton. Bought a set to assess years ago before we decided to re-make them.

Not totally sure about those ebay ones, in the photo they loom too straight-ended to me.
