I was looking at seat alternatives for my 75 Mk3. Looking for something that makes me feel more like I'm riding the bike rather than it riding me. Perhaps a Corbin Gunfighter?
Then I found this Small Hump Seat - Norton Commando Roadster MK3 at British Bike Bits in the UK. Anyone own one, or have tried one? Opinions?
Thanks

I don't have the dual seat version but the single seat, bought it from Mick Hemmings and its very good, you don't have to pull yourself forward against the acceleration ;) and its comfortable. Not sure if the BBB is the same maker though.

Iv'e got one of them on a mk 3 ( I take the hinge etc off mk 3 bikes and have a lift off seat) . I like it a lot. One thing when I got it I thought the material was pulled too tight, so I removed a few of them horrible trim clips and the bottom trim holds it just fine. I did have one of the other seats with the bigger hump, and I hated the look of it.

What is your arraignment for securing the seat on the hinge side?

I just converted the hinge side to standard Commando alloy seat knob etc and bought a seat for a pre mk 3 Commando. I have in fact converted my Triumphs to Norton type seat fixings, just by making some seat brackets and riveting them to the base.

I have one in Speirmoor's link on my 72 Roadster. I had to straighten out the kinks in the tabs in a vice to get them to reach the seat knob fixings a bit more but this was easy enough although it shouldn't have to be a necessity for the end user to make a product fit. Another slight glitch is that the "Norton " logo isn't quite central laterally. Other than that it's fine and I would have another.

I put one on my '72 Roadsrer. It is more comfortable than the Corbin Gunslinger. The gold lettering did not last very long.

I got one from Old Britts for my Roadster a couple years ago to replace Corbin.
Suits me much better as I am 6' tall and can sit further back which i find more comfortable.
Just checked - looks like OB does not carry them anymore.

I have two from Old Britts: one for an Intestate tank and one for a Roadster tank (same bike). I think they're more comfortable and more durable than the Corbin seat I used to have, especially with rearsrts.

Yep; can't find them on Old Britts! Darn, and I was just getting all worked up about finding something other than Corbin that worked well for my 6' frame.
