I only saw your post today.Some months ago I made up some tools for doing up instruments.Needle puller below.A short length of 20x20x2, a piece of M4 rod {had no bolt} and a sewing machine needle, ground down and pressed in.The underside of the 20x20 is filed down to about 1,5 mm.I guess the picture speaks for itself.
