It is important for experts/masters at their careers pass their knowledge along. These machines are unique and with cooperation such as this with part suppliers along with skilled folks sharing their knowledge and experiences, a lot of them are still proudly on the road to this day, and a lot of them will be on the road in the future because of this common cause. (Kudos to the part suppliers and everyone on this Forum who share their expertise and encourage thinking outside the box)

Well said BERT.
No Andover Norton would make for next to no replacement parts for these old tubs, same for the Eatons for long time service to the community including taking the time to add all those tech pages (No one is forced to read them)

I got my (1971 upgrade) side stand lug off Ella Eaton and more than happy I got to buy something off Old Britts (that was sent all the way to Australia)

And it’s not bad, but you do need to work on the subtle sarcasm there friend.

You see, criticising someone for spreading hate... and then responding with hate... is kinda over stepping the subtly mark a tad.

As I have a small interest here, I'd beg a slight alteration to: '..criticising someone who you perceive to be spreading hate..'

And multitudinous apologies to the OP for the diversion, I feel a bit like Superman 'he can derail a thread with a single comment'
