Hi,
has anyone had experience with the alloy barrel available at British Spares?
"Norton Commando Alloy Barrel. Barrels are available for both the 750cc & 850cc Norton Commando models. The main advantages of using an alloy barrel in place of the standard cast iron one are improved heat dissipation & weight reduction; these barrels are approximately 4kg lighter. Steel liners are held in an alloy casting, fitment is a direct replacement for the existing barrel; bores are finished ready to use. Both barrels are held to the cases by the later, improved, through-bolt system of the 850’s & come with the necessary studs & fasteners."
