Just got back from the AHRMA races at Sonoma, with a few more pictures of Nortons. There were pretty much the same riders as at Willow Springs, including Tom Kullen, Dennis Donahoe, Stan Keyes and another rider on Cyco Racing Commandos, and John Snead on his 961. John was also at the Willow Springs race, but I didn't get any pictures of the bike there.
This is John's bike, with Stan Keyes' bike behind it. Stan is the one in leathers, between the bikes.
And this is the other Norton with a Cyco Racing logo on it. I didn't catch the name of the rider, but it's a nice looking bike. You can see John Snead sitting in the chair. For those that don't recognize the name, he's G81 Can Cycle here on the forum, and it's his CNC shop that's making the new CNW electric start conversion bits for Matt.
This is a shot of our pit area, with the three Yamaha race bikes. Not a Norton among them, I'm sorry to say.
Just to show the variety of bikes that show up, this is a shot of the guys pitted across from us. How often do you get to see a Matchless, a Patton, and a vintage 2-stroke Yamaha racer together?
Ken
