I was so motivated today that after at least 2 years, I actually got the 70 pushed out of the garage. There was still some gas in the right side, turned on both petcocks, left one seemed to have nothing, right one worked, so tickled until the left one had fuel, then did the right. Pushed the engine just over compression twice, not a full stroke, just over compression, cleared the clutch, ignition on and whacko, it started right up. If I feel this good tomorrow, I may actually try taking the bike out on the road at least up to the PO.

One more week and I'm past 2 weeks past the second jab.

I have to say the last couple days I felt like crap. I really wish I could figure out why I feel good sometimes and other days I can't do anything. I not only washed off the bike but the Miata too. Good grief that thing is 21 years old too.

It was just too cold for me today to get it out. As another aside, I used the AGM battery I bought from Clubman back in 08. I keep a smart charger on it all the time, not that the battery will hold up if disconnected, but it started the bike, no capacitor, with the Pazon. The alternator gauge looked normal.

But it looks like the dial faces in the clocks have gotten loose. Not that I've used it. How does that happen? Age?

Nice when they are that well behaved after sleeping.

There are three screws on the bottom of the cup, that hold the meter's guts within the can. They have rubber buffers in the holes to isolate the works from the can. Those rubber buffers perish.

Dog .... last 4 days tues-fri , I was putting up v-groove pine boards on ceiling in last undone room in basement , all good ! did nothing today ,went out for late lunch .... now just plain old useless .... must be the change in the air !

I spun up about 40-45 mi. on the Norton yesterday and was gonna do a rerun today, but I guess the lazy bug bit me last night so I just went out and looked at it.... Perhaps tomorrow... Been busy hauling & cutting freeze dead tropical flora to the roadside for pick up.... Lost my kapok trees, guava, banana, 1 grapefruit hybrid, and other assorted things I was very fond of.

You guys really need to be where you can ride more. Your bikes will love you more for it.

What's sledding?...

Even after a month mine chokes on the gas left in the tank, and that's using a stabilizer in it. So you are most fortunate to run on 2 yr. old fuel. I'd get a couple of pops and coughs then nothing until a drain, flush, and fresh gas.

A subject for a thread in the Pub, perhaps, but I feel like crap all the time now. I have a neuroligical issue that affects my balance and equilibrium. It scares me to think I might not ride again. So glad to hear that you are able to get back on that old Britt.

I was thinking maybe I should at least fix the clocks. I had one apart once, wasn't magic, but yeah I remember those rubber thingies were pretty sad. Gotta source for parts?

Yeah, some days I feel like it's never going to end and then the next day I'm fine. I think anxiety plays a part, at least the doc has given me some anti anxiety pills that I use once in a while. I've tried all the mood enhancing drugs and they make me feel like I'm on a very bad trip.

Yes, 110LL. I've found I can buy it at the local Sunoco station. Not cheap but I use it in all the 2 stroke tools. The stuff doesn't gum up, evaporates fast and runs great. And lasts forever without stabilizer.

Correction after reading the advert , I think it may be not the right part , check before............

Yeah, I need to take them off and inspect the parts first. How 'bout this:

Too cold in Virginia to work on the 70 ?
Today worked on the street in 70 km. per hr. wind gusts (+ 2 C. ) to change my new (from Norton) outer primary gasket which did not line up well with the screw holes and let 20W50 drip out all over the road.
Ice fishing got us 56 Perch.
Canada.

Gee, I remember the ‘56 Pontiac Perch, good looking motor. Must have had a strong line to haul that out!!

Hi, you will notice that the first ebay link (by bsanut) is the same dealer than eurotrash , all depends if you need the bezel and so ........make your choice !
have a nice day !

Once you have a new bezel, how do you crimp it? I know it is out of sight but my attempts seem
to work however, there must be a way for the average fellow to do it . You know those of us that have
no machine tools.
