Greetings All,

After many diversions I am about to re-install the motor and gearbox in my Ranger 750. I have heard this is a tricky/complicated process, so I am soliciting your collective wisdom on how to make this vent go as smoothly as possible.

Cheers, Norm (Ann Arbor)

hi norm , my two penneth' of advice is put pipe insulation round your frame tubes to avoid scratching them ( if you have a freshly painted frame) other than that the more hands the better to lower the lump into position.

Thanks, Andy. Good idea, I use old mountain bike inner tubes where clearances are tight.

Hi.
Fit the engine and gearbox plates with correct spacers, on the timing side only.
Then engine and gearbox.
More difficult to insert the N15 engine in his frame than P11.

Never tried but it might be just like Commandos, let the engine on the floor, not verticaly, and put the frame around it. You'll easily find some pictures.

Pay attention.
You cannot fit the engine in the frame if before you have not fit the engine plates and studs.
You cannot fit then the bottom stud because is in the line of the frame tubes.
