Am sorry if this has been done before, but am building my 72 roadster up, as part of the upgrade am fitting the front brake upgrade kit, what am looking for is a short chrome front mud guard which doesn't require the stays, don't to order something that doesn't and looks naff, I have seen lots of photos but don't know who is supplying them. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks

Thanks for your reply's, was hoping to find some one in the UK, but I think your both right and I will order from CNW.

I bought a CnW front mudguard from Matt, together with the brembo front brake kit.
I had it painted and it looks first class, everything fitted superbly and CnW are 1st class to deal with.

I purchased CNW front guard from HNW, got it chromed locally, undersealed the inside prior to fitting
The service from Constant is great... unfortunately the DHL service to the UK of late, is at best woefull
Believe it or not They managed to loose the package (it's only about 100 miles as to crow flies).... after 14 day wait Constant had to sent out another guard ..... the first one arrived with no explanation After 25 days
I have a CP2696 calliper, Norvil calliper carrier & RGM drilled disc
Will send a photo of the fitted guard a bit later

A little help please

Thanks again for all your help, I've ordered from CNW,
Fast eddie: need new tyres on, i was thinking of the same size/tire you have fitted, so are you planning to change stop the rubbing or do you recommend to go with another size.
Olympus: lookin good, I have the RGM kit to go onto my bike, what size tyre is that on yours.

Hi Peter, mine has a 3.60 x19 fitted...I'm sure other more knowledgeable members here will be able to advise if a bigger tyre can be fitted with this guard... but the clearances with this size tyre are adequate
HNW does advise on their site the max size tyre that can be used
Are you getting the guard plated in the UK.??

Hi Olympus, yes was planning to get it plated in the uk, there are a couple of places near me, don't know what their work is like or the time lines are, but I like the idea of having it done local.

No problem, if your struggling I can give you the company who did mine there in Sussex but do mail order

I’m afraid hNw are wrong about this, they say the 100/90 19 will fit. But that’s what I had and I can assure you it rubbed (I do take my bike on track days though).

I changed the front mudguard on mine to keep the 100/90 19.

Fast Eddie you are right the fender won't fit a 100/90 - 19" tire however it sure does fit a 100/90 - 18" tire (I already revised the HNW website) and of course 90/90 - 19" or 3.60 - 19".
Thanks,
Constant

Tire manufacturer and model matters. A 100/90-19” Bridgestone BT 45 will fit, no problem. The tires are dimensionally different between different manufacturers so you can not give a blanket Yes or No as far as fit unless you talk about the same brand

The rim size matters as well. If you are installing a wider tire on a narrow rim it will have a taller crown. I use a wm 3 rim in the front with the Bridgstone.

Matt / cNw

PS. Thanks for the order Peter. Shipped today
