The Rally is called Rip Van Norton Rally July 13-17 2020 and is hosted by the The Tri-State Norton Riders. The location is The Blackthorne Resort, East Durham, NY, about 100+ miles north of New York City.

It will be a five day Rally. I will post more info as soon as I get it. Right now here in the modern section of the forum I'd like to know what 961 owners are interested in and I can pass on to the Rally committee.

I'll be bringing my 961 so it would be nice to see a bunch of other 961's there also.
Would someone be interested in leading a 961 tech session? Subject could be as simple as a machine demonstration, ownership advice, riding tips, maintenance tips etc
Anyone who's been to one of these rally knows there's a lot of tech sessions for the pre-961 bikes so it would be ideal to have one for our bikes.

And there is certainly a lot to talk about . The trick will be not to scare everyone off from buying one. It is a great idea , too bad no dealers willing to come and give demo rides. Not to change the subject , but when can we expect to see another new Norton in the states ?

I nominate David C. for Tech Session Leader !

If it was closer to daves house we could do a kick ass session and have motors apart and everything. Too far to travel with all that and definitely cannot cross the border with all that.

If it was Niagara Falls USA you guys could all pop over.

Or have it at my dads. 2 acres of camping and a hotel up the road within walking distance

And I nominate TonyA for the "961 Electrical. Explanation, Troubleshooting and Fixes" session

Do you know any members of the Ontario INOA chapter? They will definitely be at this rally. I'm sure some would be traveling by van, RV or similar that could bring it for you?

Peter Gillett and Alma here. We will be going on the 76 Interstate on the Interstate. So keep in touch.

I have booked my stay , its official . Prices are very reasonable . Let see if we can get more to come.

Per SG's Tweet a couple of months ago, there will be a new US distributor named in early 2020. Upper Hudson Valley area is beautiful - wish I could get there but it's 1000 miles away for me

Italia- Problem is, until the new factory space is fitted out and production of the Nomads in full swing, along with back orders of the SL...the new distributor will not have any bikes to sell.

Cart before horse?

That makes sense. My dealer has been predicting new inventory arriving Summer '20. That may be a bit optimistic

I spoke to Indian of Orange County. They said they are still a Norton dealer and importer. It’s not the dealers fault. It’s the fault of the factory and norton not producing and shipping bikes.

AF1 Racing is still a dealer too I believe.

Is anybody else planning on going to the INOA Rally ? Or , at least hope to go ?
