961 shut off after 20 seconds won't restart

The pic was before I touched anything, The black box is tilt module, it's velcro'd on, I'm guessing it was an add on before the new ECU OMEX EURO 4?!?!? The actual tip switch is marked "UP" and when I unbolt it and stand on end the engine will not crank over, that proves to me it's working correct. But don't know about the black "Norton" box is allowing the signal to go to coils or cam sensor. When I get the cam position sensor, I am going thru all these suggestions and checks from the start but again I have not seen the correct wiring diagram for this bike.. I'm told there are three EURO 3 wiring diagrams. Hopefully someone will find the one I need. Thanks All

If you can do more testing with a DVM , it is possible to make some measurements . If some one with a Euro 3 OMEX , or anyone who has this Tilt module could make some readings ? Or maybe Stu could lend some advice as how to verify the operation of the Tilt Module ? I can help via cell phone with Gene as well .

Ordered a Cam Sensor waiting for it to arrive. Basically I am throwing parts at this The test suggested by City Garage did not light my test light when engine turned over, one suggested I turn engine over by hand. Also waiting for the correct wiring diagram from England, easy difference is some have 6 relays mine has 7 plus a black module for the tip over switch. Later I believe only had 4 relays. Forum in England had similar, no spark, problem and it was the tip over module any body have one? Or can tell me how to eliminate it? It's printed with Norton In the center of pic. Thanks all

This is correct for OMEX equipped motorcycles, the tilt shuts off the start function as its wired into the start relay. On SCS its wired to the ECU

Just checked, I emailed you an image of the 2015- euro3 wiring diagram on the 28th September

OK another member was kind enough to take my ECU an Tilt control plug them into his 961 and everything ran fine! *** Do Not SEND ANYTHING to England without their permission, Customs was a complete NIGHTMARE! So I still have a bike that won't run. One of the tests preformed before I sent ECU was to put 12 volt to the ground signal side if the cam sensor(new Bosch sensor was already installed) and the test light did not flash as shown on working video. Is there a test for the cam sensor only, did I get a bad replacement?(box was beat up but sensor looked fine)

Behind the seen's we found a bad crank sensor Electrex listed a alternator /crank sensor combo You are now able to buy sensor separately. Ordered part today will list part # when I get it

Hello Gene , Good News !

It's alive after 2 months! My lack of knowledge was the reason for the length of time. Received a new crank sensor from Electrex in 5 days installed today it it fired right up. Electrex part number is P6-500. If you are testing it for function and probably the stock sensor it 500ohms resistance. Thanks to all that contributed. 961 shut off after 20 seconds won't restart
