Is this the actual tip over sensor ? Not the solid state multi pin flat pack ? The tip over sensor uses a 3 pin/wire connector and has a plastic body with up written on it. This device has a pendulum magnet arm and IC's inside so without having it powered on the readings may not be useful. It is held on with two bolts and may be covered from sight by the OMEX ecu on your newer bike. The flat pack takes inputs from the stand switch and neutral switch etc to provide power to the power down relay on the OMEX bikes along with inputs from the tip over sensor. I want to say that the red wire supplies the 12v all good power to that power down relay. Not sure though. I have successfully cheated the tip over sensor with 2 resistors 100 to 150 ohms each and they tie back to the center pin on the tip over sensor. It works the same way with OMEX or SC ecu. Do a search for tip over sensor . Better yet , bring your bike to a reputable Norton shop that has the OMEX cable and software to analyze the system . I only say this because I would like it if you kept the bike and liked it rather than become frustrated or angry and hate it. If anyone has a source for this tip over sensor could they let us know ? If mine goes bad again I will be forced to cheat it for good this time because I can't find the spares source.
Could SCS-Delta let us know where to find the tip over sensor that was fitted to the 961 ?
