961 Euro 4 Factory Revision 1 Air Filters

Those look like great quality ! Very good looking.
Yes they are better than the BMC. They are also 3/4” shorter so the don’t sit on the bottom of the airbox for those that have oil issues.

They went a little overkill with laser etching the Norton logo on some thing that you wouldn’t see anyways but again a good quality product. It’s too bad these came out towards the end of the production run.

Got some messages about fitment. Here is the filters side by side with an original 620005. They are shorter to keep them off the bottom of the airbox, but are the same size every way else and the metal lip keeps the filter rubber delaminating like in the photo below. I listed them here first to give the community a chance to get them

A good quality product because Norton didnt design them, Micromesh own the copyright to the filter design. They'll make them again, minimum order of 500, as the filter media is only used on that particular filter. They produce filters for the likes of McLaren. An excellent product and SO much better than the two previous Norton efforts.
Norton were a little odd with etching, I assume it was something offered for free by manufacturers, as they wouldnt have paid for it. The crowns on the V4 pistons were also etched.

Agreed. Actually some of the nicest filters I’ve seen. Yes when we spoke to them they had a large minimum. Way too much $$$

Just checked the old emails, the MOQ was 250, which would take me a life time to get through.

Maybe Norton will take the ball and run with it . Norton say its only a matter of a few weeks and they will be open .

That's what they said last year!! Open and selling are two different things. Also, stock levels will be interesting as well. Some parts, like those filters, require a commitment, and nothing has been said about engine/trans parts

I was absolutely gutted to hear that I just missed out on the remaining stock at Micromesh. They told me they had 70 odd filters left in stock, during administration. Unfortunately New-TVS-Birmingham-Norton bought the remaining stock when they had chance. Administration was a good time to buy stuff and have things made....companies that had previous contracts with Norton were willing to trade, Ritchie Engineering and the likes of. Now though they're obligated to New-Norton, by all accounts.
