Hey guys,

I don't have much time these days to post on this side of the forum. That said, have some new stuff that may be of interest. Most of you know that I work with Richard (one07) and sell his great parts, tools and upgrades on my website

Richard contacted me recently to tell me about some really nice Carbon parts that he wanted to make available

I just got them in and have to say that they are of outstanding quality. Really well made and Richard assures me that the fit is spot on. Definitely something very cool about Carbon, especially on performance machines like the 961

I listed them on the site in case you want to check them out. I am sure Richard will add with some details about these parts as well

http://coloradonortonworks.com/part-categories/parts-for-the-new-961-machines/

I will be starting with a pretty shallow inventory during this introduction but in case we are sold out, there would not be a long wait to get more from Richard

Also, due to the growing 961 section (more parts in the works) I decided to create an exclusive 961 page on the site. It is still under construction but should be done in the next couple of weeks. I will keep you posted when it's ready to go

As always, Thanks for the support

Not a bad start Matt...

Now please add:
CF airbox for the Commando, of increased size.
CF single seat conversion for Euro 4 dual seat bikes.
CF headlight shell would be a nice touch.

Then you can crack on with the FCR carb kit, rear sets and exhaust pipes.

Then we can start talking about. A big bore kit and...

It's great to see an aftermarket for 961 stuff.
Don't forget the Drouin II supercharger.

Super charger units are really small and light these days. And they have much lower drag than ones of old.

It’s really not such a daft idea to consider nailing one onto a 961 you know...

Is anyone interested in a racing generator? It doesn’t kick in until higher in the rev range. And bolts right up and plugs in. PLUG N PLAY. made for any 961. Domi, commando, etc.

Let me know if that interests anyone. We made two and sold one.

Richard,
You piqued my curiosity.
What is a racing generator?

Basically preventing power being stolen powering your electrical system until your rev range is high enough it doesn’t matter. Only issue would be if you ride under 4,000 rpm you will not be charging at all. So bad for street use. But great for the track or 1/4 mile runs.

Will these farings, older or new style fit with the Sport handlebars with right side up forks or are they for USD forks and clip ons only??

Any.

They mount to the headlight bracket. But... for now you will have to order brackets from AF1 racing until we finish making the dir. Or make something on your own. And domi fly screen fits commando too in case you like that look.

Do you need special brackets for the Domi flyscreen or can the OEM ones used for the Commando 961?

Hi Guys,

Just a polite reminder that it looks like these parts were produced off our tooling. I know whats involved with reverse engineering a part and it isn't cheap or easy, no one would do it for such small quantities.

Let me remind you all we moved from this supplier because the quality was so poor......we will NOT warranty or support these parts.

I have informed our legal team to pursue.

Simon. Saying the parts I am offering being poor quality... c’mon. I know you did not buy anything off me. And if you are saying all the bikes up to the point you changed suppliers have poor quality parts then please share the year you changed so people can upgrade and get rid of their “poor quality” OEM norton parts. These are NOT Norton parts. These are parts that fit a Norton. I wouldn’t expect anyone would think there is a Norton Warranty. Just like using Rizoma mirrors that Fit a Norton. Not a norton part. We have a lot more CF parts that will fit a Norton too. We have been making molds and mock ups.

If you have an issue you could have emailed me. You have my email. Perhaps I should contact my legal team then??? I am no longer addressing this on a public forum.

Hi Rich,

All the parts fitted to a Norton are of the appropriate quality. The reason we changed suppliers is the huge number of rejects due to the overall poor quality, these were obviously caught before they were fitted to a bike. We all know you didn't reverse engineer these parts.

I will be in touch privately.

Simon

I reverse engineer parts for a living. Anyone can have anything copied. Its quite easy. There are a lot of CF companies that will take a part you have and make a mold. You don’t get the original back as it becomes damaged after. But from then on you can make as many clones as you want. I even have use of a 3d printer that prints carbon Fiber and peek. The printed CF strength is better in the delaminating Tests but not as strong in the tensile. And the cost is outrageous but for one offs or complicated shapes. Its perfect.

Seems to me, since parts are so limited, the more a person could do with a particular motorcycle would be good for sales. These companies will not tool machinery for Norton custom or aftermarket parts because there is no return on their investment. Glad Rizoma and Brembo at least can offer a few items. Can't wait for someone to produce a program with some decent fueling. I'm willing to bet "The Factory" benefitted a few times from the 07 teams ideas, ie. Bosch ignition and sensors.

ok, so you have copied our parts.......our carbon parts are not limited. Pick up the phone and we can sell you some.......

We do billet aftermarket mirrors, if you don't like them then that's cool, buy Rizoma ones, there very different. If someone copied exactly our parts then we have a copyright/IP issue.

Rich, I will be in touch.

Simon.

When people are ordering a bike, they are going to buy carbon upgrades from you. Who wouldn’t want the genuine part vs the knock off. They will only buy from us if they cannot buy a replacement from you when theirs is damaged. We’re not in this to steal your sales.

Knowing other companies have parts is important to owners and potential owners

As much as you don’t believe it, We’re not here to cause trouble. And we’re here to help Norton owners.

Lets work collectively and not be against each other.

DISCLAIMER: ONE07 does not resell any genuine Norton Parts. Nothing! The parts we buy from Norton are to repair bikes that we repair. We do not re-sell any Norton products or parts whatsoever to customers or to anyone.

Any advice One07 shares is from us and not Norton techs. Use our advice at your own risk. If you don’t feel confident in my advice then follow your instincts. If in doubt, please follow Nortons advise only.

I am strongly with Richard and Britfan60 on this. Seems to me it has been Norton that have taken thankfully Richards advice which again thankfully helped many Norton owners and on latest models Norton cure inherent problems on their bikes. All bike owners of any make of bike like to customise and personalise their bike to make it look or perform better. What is the harm in that? Unfortunately there are few after market suppliers of such like products and even Norton go to outside engine development companies to develop their engines, brakes, etc. So what is the difference. I like Richard and others have tried repeatedly to help the factory through our engineering experience and offered and given freely publicity of the Norton bikes.we appreciate Norton help when given but do not appreciate being in effect talked down to by Norton when all we are trying to do is help.
We love our Norton. We pamper our Nortons. We want Norton to stay in business, etc. If we did not so do we would have turned our backs on Norton ages ago and not tried to continue to help Norton, fellow owners and ourselves. We ourselves have 2 961 and another on order. Does that not say something. Fultonrn.
