Can anyone please clarify these questions relating to group 27 of the parts manual as I am putting my rear mudguard and light back to standard:
1. Spacer 30 seems to sit next to the nut12 under the mudguard, why? Should it go above it is it because part 18 came from another parts bin or motorcycle?
2. Does bracket 25 go below bracket 22?
3. What do nuts and washers 6 and 10 attach to? Should there be 2 bolts from the lower battery tray? Mine doesnt seem to have anything or any holes in the battery tray
4. Does the grommet 28 that goes into the rear number plate and light carrier plate go through the horizontal section that can't be seen on the picture? It implies it goes in the top left corner of that picture but the hole is too big.

Thanks.

5 thru holes in battery carrier
Then thru 11
Then thru 3
Then thru 6
Then thru 8

18 thru 19
Then thru 22
Then thru fender
Then thru 30
then thru 12

25 & 22 whichever aligns/fits better, I usually have 25 on top of 22

The grommet goes thru the hole in 25 just below it.

Hopefully no typo's - I tend to make them! Be gentle L.A.B!

'5' are the rear crossmember mudguard plate attachment bolts.

The bolts that locknuts '10' attach to are also the horn bracket bolts '48' on the group 29 diagram (AN link, below) so nuts '49', (washers '45') clamp the horn bracket to the battery carrier, bolts facing to the rear*, mudguard on next, secured by the two nuts '5''.
*As the horn assembly is drawn facing in the wrong direction.

Yes, spacer '30' goes below the fender/mudguard. Seems wrong but isn't.

I believe '25' on top of '22' to be correct.

Well I got it all together today, just need to finish the wiring. I learnt something in the process though, all the parts from Andover Norton must be hand made... I had to bend and tweak nearly every bit of the rear number plate and brackets, miles off. Hey ho thanks all.
