I am looking for un-balanced header pipes and various vendors don’t list them for my bike. Why?The ones I have received before come too close to the side stand pivot bolt.LAB says I might have gotten a bad set.Anyone else have this problem or direct me to a different supply house?
Thanks,
Mike

Probably because unbalanced 850 pipes were not original parts.

The 850's always came with balanced pipes so there are no Norton part numbers for 850 unbalanced pipes, I fit 750 unbalanced for peashooters or 850 balanced pipes.

Mine came with a balanced set on, 850 mk2a, and it also came with a new pair of unbalanced pipes which I fitted a little while ago. those fitted perfectly and I was none the wiser that there maybe a difference.

I got my headers from Classic British Spares. They fit great.

The Andover Norton sourced 750 set (off the 1971 page fwiw) fit fine on my investment Mk2a with the appropriate rear mounting plates.

Thanks for the help. I will check with these vendors
Mike
