Finally installed rebuilt magneto and timed the bike using 11/32" btdc. Used a cigarette paper to check for the points to open, tightened down the AAU jammed to full advance, and put all the rest of the bike together.Since the bike hadn't been run since mid July, I probably should have cleaned out the jets, but just started kicking away. Checked the new plugs for spark and they throwing big fat sparks.About 10 kicks into it- and after a couple of "almost" kickbacks, she fired up. I let her idle a bit and blipped the throttle and ran at some steady rpms, and she sounded fine- no popping, and no hesitation under throttle. Couldn't due a proper road test due to weather, but will later this week. Thanks to many members of this board for your help, especially Ed Zender, Slick, Beach and all the other Atlas experts out there.
