60's Ton up Boys

As a young boy staring out from the back of my Dad's old Morris Oxford car, I was always in awe of the lads roaring past en-masse on their bikes(especially on bank holiday weekends) down on the south coast. I could'nt wait to be old enough get my first bike at 16 in 1970!

I'm guessing by the mix of Brighton & London registrations that maybe the photos were taken on the old A23? Does the badge '59' on some of the lads jackets denote the club?
