So.. I've just had my black/gold CR delivered, cancelled order no 27/50 built 4 months ago. I noticed that the spec differs from the brochure in that I don't have the chromed headlight, nor the chromed sidestand. So I only have the chromed chainguard, which therefore has to go. All that polished metal and carbon with one piece in chrome just doesn't work imo. The carbon mudguard arrives Friday. Does anyone elses spec differ in the same way? I assume the factory just ran out of chromed bits...

Apparently the chromed side stands are rare and add thousands to the value of the bike...

But seriously I wouldn’t worry about it. It could have been how it was specified by the original ordering customer.

It seems that many CRs which were ordered were ordered with different tweaks, additions and subtractions from the catalogue spec. Mine included.

And the chrome chain guard should never have been fitted, carbon should be compulsory !

Actually, the steel ones can and do crack, so carbon is practically a better choice.

Mine has black yokes and triple t not chrome, black foot plates not chrome etc...
I think unless everything was specified they used stock that was available. All the items I specified were correct - polished engine, gold/yellow forks, silver engine, silver oil cooler ....

The only thing you really need Glen is the decat pipes, free flowing zorsts (shorties preferably :) ) and remap.... they were part of the spec.

That’s true
