Won't be long before we see something similar in a motorcycle, the size and weight are already more than workable. Built in contemplation of use in a hybrid gas/electric enclosed racing vehicle. That engine is lighter than, and as compact as, most MC engines offered today and makes 3 or 4 times the power.

I don't know if its power band would work alone in a cycle as its intended for a hybrid electric racer so engine only has to run near optimum to charge up storage reserves that power elec. motor that controls tire thrust, otherwise I'd like a single 35 lb version with just 100 hp.

The weight of the electric engine is probably the tip of the iceberg. What is the weight of 400 HP in batteries?

Ugh that way you ask the question is unanswerable w/o the time factor of delivering 400 hp worth of watts/current from batteries. I think they said about one lap of some track or a bit less than 9 miles but for sure did not imply that was 400 hp level of battery bleed. Only need to carry enough battery to spurt up now and then on top of petro engine. Eventually the chassis will be made of super capacitors so almost no weight cost and pack a good punch. No mention made of electric hp motor rating I remember.
