I'm happy to see Norton has another model, the DOMINATOR SS. Obviously sparked from the DOMIRACER but more street style. I like the BLACK accents and as much as I love the hand beaten tank on the DOMIRACER I really like the painted tank and the options it can provide with personality. Some like YELLOW and bright, some like RED, etc...

Props to NORTON!!!!

You know what? I reckon a mechanic stuck a 961 tank on a domiracer to test it and someone in sales went, 'hmmmm......'

Nice looking, still wont fit on it though....

After a hard week at the Castle building bikes and conducting warranty inspections and the like, the lads were shagged out and peed off that two of their mates had left for pastures new . They were feeling down in the dumps and needed a new challenge so they had a gander at the R&D budget(biscuit tin) only to discover there was enough cash to get them all a few Miller lites and some quavers....................the rest is history the Dominator SS was conceived.
History repeating itself , almost the same design process was used at NVT When they came up with the Hi Rider only it was Nookie Broon and pork scrathchings for the lads back in the day!

* Nookie Broon is a generic term for S&N Brown Ale and has no sexist connotation

Great idea, while many US customers are still without bikes they paid deposits for 5 years ago, lets make a "new model" instead of building PAID CUSTOMER bikes and shipping them out.

So, what do YOU think that deposit money is doing right about now?

(and SOME people STILL have no problems with this business)

Norton does not have the deposit money, most of it if not all is held by one US dealer. I am talking about the 5 year old deposit!

Norton are supposedly consistantly making 10 bikes a week now. And there seems to be no shortage in dealers in the UK.
So what is causing the shortage in the USA?

My local dealer actually has stock bikes at this time of year....

That Is 10 bikes a week for the whole world. There are 3 or 4 bikes onUS dealers floors now but it is s large country. A few are waiting on SE models of which 50 were pre sold. It will take years to supply that many of a limited model plus the existing models.

Dozer and everybody else., it would be helpful to include your location for those that don't already know you! In your signature.

Sorry, UK, East Anglia, Cambridge area, dealer is Krazy Horse. Last time I was there they had one of each model and a Domiracer for sale.

I've noted on other threads that the issue relating to SEs is that one dealer in SoCal sold (monopolized) all 50 of them, but they're not receiving any preference in bikes being delivered so if you're waiting for #50, it will likely be a long time.

Although there is still a wait list in San Francisco for certain models, Munroe Motors currently has a red SF in stock and for sale.

How much for the Domiracer and what serial number?

Love the new Dominator. But, unfortunately at my age the clip-on seating position would not work for me. I guess I will have to continue with the American "sit up and beg" riding position (at least that's what the Brits called it back in the 60's and 70's)

Good to see some inventory starting to appear. Hopefully the inventory will move. Bad time of the year for inventory to show up in " US cold country".

Recently saw a post on a Facebook Norton page of the first Silver SF being delivered in China. Hopefully we will get some posts from our friends in NZ and Australia about new 961's down under.

Evenin' auldblue,

I enjoy this forum because of the posts from folks like you! BTW, I like Newcastle Brown but my favorite is Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout. I have no problem getting it here in sunny Florida but it is a tad more expensive than Miller's Light (who drinks that stuff anyway?).
Cheers,

I think it's the stout that's helping keeping you going olllyop , kinda like a remap!
