Located in South Central Texas (78956). Bonded Texas title. Many new parts ( Avon Road Riders, hvy tubes, balance beads and wheel rubbers, primary chain and self adjusters, clutch plate kit Barnes, front and rear master cylinders, hoses and rebuilt calipers, kick starter lever and gear, rebuilt gauges, clutch cable, engine mounts, turn signals, electrical weather packs replaced. Engine needs help. What I think I know, Scored left piston, 1 bent pushrod, scored lifters and cam. Engine is partially disassembled for inspection. Engine started 1st kick, bike road decent... needs rear shocks and front fork service. I was building this bike to be my last..... but plans change.
$5,000 or BO.
Thanks

Just curious, what happened to the engine? Sorry to hear it anyway, sounds like a decent bike. If you e-mail me a (some) photo(s) to grandpaulz athot maildot com, I'll post it here. (that helps with sale, for sure)

Long story, but I believe the engine was broken in incorrectly. I was told that the top end had been freshened up. Looking into the bore thru the sparkplug hole with my borescope it appeared to be true. It didn't appear to have too many miles on it. It was sold to me with a known kick starter problem, the electric starter is missing. The starter problem led to a new primary chain and self-adjusters... which fixed the Kickstarter from locking up. Once started it had a top end tick. I tried various things and road it a few miles. I eventually came to the conclusion I had a bent pushrod, which I did. Removing the jug to inspect the lifters and cam, I found the left piston starting to seize. Out of frustration I backed away from the project to work on my other projects. I finally decided to sell. I will get you a few pics of the bike together. Thanks

Sorry to hear that. I've had a couple of projects like that. Having so many of them at the same time, meant that I didn't really "miss out" on anything with any particular project; one or another, or several others, would get more attention, eventually.

At the end of it all, about 2017, I sold all my rolling projects and basket cases. The progress on the entire lot had stopped cold!
