That isn't exactly what the current PDF on their site says, as it has been clearly updated, and I would say quite recently, but that is not important. But what is important is that it is what was stated was until recently, and it was for many years, and it is on the hard copy I have here from before the latest MKIV release(actually from the 80's I think). The point is that even Boyer had it wrong for a long time, in as much as their instructions did not optimise the fitment on a series earth wired machine.On that latest PDF it now provides for connection to the earth wiring system, which confirms that were "wrong" previously. Otherwise why else would they have changed it?I have seen (over 35 years mind you, not on a daily basis, I am not saying that) numerous examples of Boyer installations where there was no connection to the earthing system, with the connections only being to the frame, as per the Boyer instructions.
