Great link, if only my Dutch (?) was better.
Must be showing my age but i much prefer the look of the race bikes of that era to the modern machinery, and the riders don't seem to be the size of an undernourished jockey.

There is an amusing story (to some) of the great Mike Hailwood ridding one of the BSA 3s in practice, when he came back into the pits with his rear disc showing a blue colour, and the pit mechanics asked him why the break was so hot? His reply, “ Well, I always ride flat out with the rear brake on!”
