I was at the local monthly motorcycle flea market and saw a guy selling a 128xxx original unmodified frame with matching number crankcases. The cases had a large hole in the rear of the left cylinder from a long ago blow up. Probably what killed the bike long ago. He also had the silver painted cylinders with damage to the cam follower tunnel.
The fellow said that he had previously tried selling on eBay and got interest from Australian and Italian buyers, but was reluctant to ship overseas due to not having title papers. The rear loop was bent a bit but the frame looked pretty good. Interesting to see the original steering head construction, tank mount wings, and head steady bracket.
He apparently also had, but not with him, the original oil tank and left side panel, fork legs but not the clamps, and some other parts at his house.
I seriously thought of buying at his very good price, but passed. Another buyer there was also thinking about it and wanted to see the other stuff he had before offering.
So if anyone from this site had interest in this 'widow-maker' frame, it may have sold.
