Hello all!

I have a 1966 Atlas with a leaky petcock. I would like to replace it. Can anyone post a pic of what the stock petcock looks like? Part #? Opinions as to whether stock or aftermarket is better?
Ultimately, I would like one that doesn't leak, and I'm not married to stock unless aftermarket is completely butt-ugly!
Thanks,
Sean

The best aftermarket fuel tap is a Pingle. Unfortunately, they do not make a version with a 1/2 BSPP male. They do make one with a 1/4 male NPT ..... two options ..... 1) tap out 1/2 female BSPP on tank bung to 1/4 NPT (ugh!), .... 2) run a 1/2 BSPP die over the 1/4 NPT male thread of the Pingle. I would do the latter.

Thanks for the response, Slick. As I suspected, the petcock on my Atlas is not the same as the one you show. I’ll research further the options you present. Thank you!!
