Looking at both a 1955 ThunderBird and a 1955 T110 that have peaked my interest
They look alike to me but I've never seen either in the flesh. I love the style of both but what are the major differences?
The primary on the Tbird has the logo and one has a chrome chain guard.
They are both 650cc for that year?

Yes, they are both 650cc.

IIRC the T110 was the slightly hopped up version, but of course, 65 years later anyone could have done anything to the internals!

If the primary has the Thunderbird logo I believe that means it’s an alternator version, the T110 should be a dynamo and magneto ignition.

Neither would have had a chrome rear chain guard as standard.

The ‘55 is gorgeous. Should have the slim mudguards, simple (pre ‘mouth organ’) tank badges, nacelle, etc.

Many Thunderbirds I see are in a bright ish blue, frames and body work too. My favourite T110 looks like this, maybe one day I’ll have spare space and cash for one:

Nice ones are not easy to find ,a thunderbird is a bit more sedate than the t110 but otherwise pretty similar
A lot of them got robbed of their engines for tribsa's , Triton's choppers and even gyrocopters
So original ones with original engines that haven't been messed with are not as easy to get hold of
I'd go for the t110 given the choice
