There is an O ring in there , the threaded area is always locktited in with at least a red or green locktite, so leaks are very rare.
I see in the picture a pair of plugs, and you also have the compression valve in that area, we have see leaks from the compression sealing area.
Could you take a picture and point out where it is leaking?

SureThe Norton service manual does not provide the parts breakdown of the forks internals . Are these manuals available for download ? Thanks for posting .

Hi has anybody had any problems with there Öhlins forks
as mine have just started to leak at the joint where the leg meets the base.
these are not upside down forks there conventional forks.
